Speaking & Workshops

Practical conversations about technology, leadership, and community

Technology is changing how we work, learn, communicate, and participate in our communities. Understanding those changes requires more than technical knowledge. It also requires thoughtful conversations about people, responsibility, and the choices we make.

I offer engaging presentations, workshops, classroom visits, and professional development sessions for schools, businesses, nonprofits, churches, professional organizations, and community groups. Each session is tailored to the audience, with an emphasis on practical information, approachable explanations, and meaningful discussion.

Speaking Topics

AI Fluency and Responsible Use

AI fluency is about more than knowing how to write a prompt. These sessions help audiences understand how artificial intelligence works, what it can do well, where it can fall short, and how to use it thoughtfully.

Topics can include bias, privacy, copyright, accuracy, transparency, academic integrity, responsible disclosure, and the importance of maintaining human judgment. Presentations can be adapted for students, educators, professionals, business leaders, or community audiences.

Technology Professional Development

Technology should help people work more effectively, not leave them feeling overwhelmed. Professional development sessions provide practical guidance that participants can apply in their everyday work.

Programs can cover AI-assisted work, cybersecurity fundamentals, cloud collaboration, digital organization, workplace technology, modern communications, and developing greater confidence with unfamiliar tools.

Cybersecurity and Digital Awareness

Cybersecurity is not only an IT responsibility. Everyone who uses technology plays a role in protecting information, organizations, and one another.

These sessions explain risks such as phishing, social engineering, weak passwords, account compromise, and unsafe data practices in clear, nontechnical language. The goal is not to create fear, but to help people recognize threats and make more informed decisions.

Leadership Grounded in Service

Leadership is not limited to a job title. It is demonstrated through listening, communication, responsibility, integrity, and follow-through.

Drawing from experience in university leadership, community organizations, volunteer service, and business ownership, these presentations explore how people can lead effectively from wherever they are. Sessions can focus on emerging leaders, collaborative leadership, organizational culture, community service, or turning ideas into action.

Entrepreneurship and Community-Focused Business

Building a business involves more than developing a product or selling a service. It requires trust, adaptability, communication, and a clear understanding of the people being served.
